Victoria Beckham is the cover girl of UK’s Vogue magazine April 2008 issue. Vogue devotes 12 pages to her, turning the World's Worst Dressed Woman into a 21st century 1940s heroine, draped in diamonds and dressed in a delicate, handpainted tulle gown by Dolce & Gabbana.
In the accompanying interview, Beckham talks about her figure, her marriage and her new career as a fashion designer.
"It's tough being a pop star and a footballer's wife. I'm aware of people's preconceptions. For the other girls, it's their business, but I don't do that any more. My business is fashion," she said.
Discussing her weight, Beckham said: "I would never put my health at risk. Obviously working out is important. Well, I don't. I have joined a gym but I can't bring myself to start," adding jokingly: "What do you wear on the running machine? I can't bring myself to wear flat shoes."
